Food Service Worker

Program Information

This Ontario College Certificate program provides students with the knowledge and skills required to be an effective member of a food service team in a commercial, institutional or long-term care facility. The program covers food preparation, service, nutrition and sanitation practices, customer service, communications and business skills. This program includes a field placement in an institutional food service operation. Students are required to have a valid Food Handling certificate. Please Note: All theory courses are available on a full-time and part-time basis and are offered online.

Credentials Ontario College Certificate

Residency Students must complete a minimum number of credits in this program with their registering college to meet the Program Residency requirement to graduate from the program.

Completion All courses must be completed within 7 years of acceptance into the program.
